BOHRF will cease to be a grant-awarding charity shortly and the Board of Trustees considered how best to allocate the residual funds available. After careful consideration, it was agreed that the final grant should be awarded to The At Work Partnership.
The grant has been made to support the Research Plus pages of the Occupational Health [at work] Journal. The funding will enable the Research Plus pages to be made available free of charge for a period of four years to a wide audience with an interest in occupational health, and carry a link to the BOHRF website where our successfully completed research will continue to be listed.
The Board of Trustees felt this was the best way of ensuring the BOHRF name and legacy remained in the public domain for as long as possible. We are delighted that Dr John Ballard and his team will be carrying on this work.

Letter from the Trustees to BOHRF supporters
In a letter dated 20 January 2012 to all BOHRF supporters, Chair of BOHRF Trustees, Sir Bill Callaghan, announced:
"It will come as no surprise that in the current economic climate the trustees have concluded that we do not have the level of financial sponsorship to take on any new research projects. This means that in 2012 BOHRF will start to wind down its activities … All the existing commitments to fund these projects will be honoured and Anna McNeil will be the point of contact with researchers."
